SMMEs are faced with problems hindering their growth, such as a lack of access to information, finance, markets and business management skills. PERCCI recognizes that business mentorship applies to any size business, irrespective of its life-cycle. However, it has been proven that SMMEs are more vulnerable to the business risks and failures that are associated with a lack, of or limited knowledge of various areas of business. Therefore SMMEs have become our primary focus for this intervention.
The Chamber, as a business support organisation, has developed a mentorship programme, which assists in reducing the number of business failures and equipping small and medium enterprises to experience growth.
A panel of mentors with broad business management skills and experience is available to assist in identifying areas in your business, which would benefit from mentorship in order to facilitate growth. The programme makes provision for Mentors to spend two hours a week at their Mentees' businesses and they are also available telephonically during working hours. SMMEs are encouraged to grasp this opportunity and learn from the experience and guidance of these skilled Mentors.
The programme is proudly sponsored by:
- - Standard Bank
- - Vodacom
- - KPMG
- - Jourbert Galpin & Searle
- - Alexander Forbes
